Back when I first started reading about witchcraft as a teenager many moons ago, I was incredibly drawn to crystals and even after my hiatus, I would still occasional buy them or marvel at them in stores - for the last four or so years I've had an amethyst point hanging from my house keys and I have a number of crystal necklaces. I did already have a small collection of crystals, but due to my current situation they're all in storage while I'm staying with friends. Recently I began to update my crystal collection and thought I would share what they are and their meanings and magical usages.

I woke up this morning and stirred for a few minutes as I normally would, rubbed the sleep out of my eyes etc. and had last night's dream pop back into my head. I'm normally a pretty vivid dreamer; I always have been since I was a kid. The majority of the time my dreams are like watching a movie and I joke and say even when I'm having nightmares, I do kind of enjoy them in a weird way because it's free entertainment (and boy do I enjoy a horror movie). Last night's wasn't on par with classic slashers and monster flicks. Quite the opposite actually, but it did feature ghosts, specifically those of my late grandparents. Essentially the dream consisted of me being in their house and watching them as spirits getting ready to go to an evening function. I'm in love with The Love Witch

What's this? Another post? Already?? So I'm a little late to the game on this one and no doubt anyone remotely interested in watching films that are about witchcraft or the occult in general will have most likely seen Anna Biller's 2016 The Love Witch already. Well I hadn't until the other week and let me tell you something - I LOVED it. I'd seen stills from this film floating around the internet (specfically from the first scene we see the protagonist in the Victorian tea rooms) and up until I tuned into The Witch Wave's podcast episode interviewing Biller I had assumed it was a film from the 1960s (this is a really good episode and I'd highly reccomend checking it out!) I mean, just look at it? You'd be easily fooled into thinking this film was relased around the time of classics like Breakfast at Tiffany's. Introduction

I always find that the most difficult part of getting a new blog up and going is getting the first post out of the way so I'm just gunna bite the bullet and get it over and done with. My name's Charlotte, I'm based in the UK and after a really long hiatus, I'm getting back into practising witchcraft. I've had a series of not-so-pleasant events occur recently, but out of it I feel like I'm starting to reconnect with myself in a way I haven't really done for probably coming up ten years. It feels massively overdue but I'm relieved that it's happening. I couldn't even tell you what prompted me to get back into witchcraft it was just something that over time started to come back to me and before I knew it I was back to researching, updating my book collection and making plans to expand my crystal collection.
